RULES FOR VISITORS

As with other NASCAR events, Grant Park 165 visitors must abide by the rules set by the organisers. Below you will find a basic overview of them:

WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED?

Items that could pose a safety risk, cause damage, or disrupt the event are strictly prohibited. This includes any merchandise or tickets being resold. All guests will go through a security screening at entry. Anyone who refuses to comply may be denied entry without a refund.

Please be aware that certain items are not allowed inside the event area. The list of prohibited items includes, but is not limited to:

  • Weapons or explosives – includes firearms, knives, utility tools, and fireworks
  • Glass, metal, or ceramic containers – includes reusable metal bottles
  • Outside food or beverages – includes alcohol of any kind
  • Aerosol products – include sunscreen and personal sprays
  • Coolers of any kind – medical exceptions may be made
  • Professional photo, video, or audio equipment – includes large lenses, tripods, and stands
  • Drones or remote-controlled devices – not allowed on festival grounds
  • Confederate flag displays – strictly prohibited
  • Illegal or illicit substances – zero tolerance
  • Wheeled transport – skateboards, scooters, bicycles, hoverboards, wagons, carts
  • Frisbees or throwable objects – no airborne entertainment devices allowed
  • Umbrellas – of any size or type
  • Tents, canopies, or shade structures – not allowed anywhere
  • Unauthorized vendors or solicitation – includes flyers, stickers, samples, giveaways
  • Obscene or indecent signs, clothing, or blankets – not permitted
  • Spiked jewelry or large chains – considered unsafe
  • Pets – only ADA-defined service animals are allowed
  • Smoking or vaping – prohibited within Chicago parks
  • Bicycles – not allowed inside the event (bike parking available near entrance)
  • Totems, flagpoles, or flags larger than 8” x 6” – not permitted

WHAT CAN YOU BRING WITH YOU?

To ensure an enjoyable experience at NASCAR events, we suggest that guests pack light and bring only what they truly need. Key items to have on hand include cash or a card, your phone, an extra camera battery, and your tickets for each day. Also, make sure to carry a valid ID for yourself and any children with you.

The following items are permitted inside the event grounds:

  • Small clutch purses and fanny packs (6” x 6” or smaller) may have one pocket and do not need to be clear
  • One clear bag (no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”) – must be a tote, purse, or drawstring bag
  • Empty reusable plastic water bottles – allowed for refilling inside
  • Hydration packs – must be empty and may have up to two pockets, plus the reservoir
  • Ziploc bags (gallon size or smaller) – permitted for small item storage
  • Sunscreen (non-aerosol, 3.4 oz or less) – aerosol cans are prohibited
  • Binoculars – permitted for event viewing
  • Blankets – allowed for ground seating
  • Collapsible chairs without chair bags – must be bag-free
  • Stadium seats and cushions (up to 20” wide) – for seating comfort
  • Baby strollers – allowed for children
  • Prescription medicine – must be in a labeled pharmacy container; only a daily supply is allowed.
  • Over-the-counter medicine – allowed in a one-day supply
  • Personal race scanners – permitted for listening
  • Point-and-shoot cameras are allowed if the lenses are not detachable and no accessories are used.
